Acts of JOY International

               Bring the JOY that heals the nations


  • INMED Humanitarian Health Conference
  • Kansas City, March 24-25, 2017
  • Theme: “Holistic Partnership with the Forgotten”
  • (Docs and nurses- CEU's and CME's available)
  • Healthcare Teaching Team to Olony, Uganda
  • April 3 to April 14, 2017
  • First Aid & CPR training for identified village care workers
  • Approx. cost= $1800
  • R&B- nearby hotel or missionary housing
  • Criteria: for above team
  • Completed TOT 1 training
  • Limited to 8 team members
  • Will need to study and prepare assigned lessons (both CHE and First Aid subject)
  • Must be in a position to pay first half of trip by last week of January and remainder by end of February
  • (Due to the size of the team and the closeness of the trip, I am unable to book group airline tickets with deferred payment; so, it must be paid at time of ticketing)

CHE Internship –

  • Opportunity to participate in hands on CHE in a remote community of Kenya
  • August 27- October 6, 2017
  • Near Nairobi, Kenya
  • Approx cost: $1800 (not including airfare)
  • Includes TOT2 training, hands on CHE participation, R&B for 6 weeks 

CHE Team to OLony

  • Multi-faceted mission to include some medical consulting with national team; farming,probably building assistance as well as healthcare/CHE teaching
  • Moved to January, 2018
  • Approx cost= $2200-$2500
  • Camping with "ACTS Africa” (alternate arrangements will be considered for those not comfortable with camping)

Criteria for all Acts of JOY teams:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ & a heart to serve the marginalized & material poor of the world
  • If not attending FWC, may need references and a letter from your Pastor
  • Not necessary to complete CHE training but helpful- will require some reading if haven't had CHE training
  • Limited to 20 team members
  • Must attend monthly team meetings (skype/facetime can be arranged for those who live a distance)
  • Must participate in all fund raisers
  • Not necessary to have any medical background (but will need nurses, docs and pharmacist for consulting)
  • Current Yellow fever immunization
  • Current passport
  • Application & $200 non-refundable down payment (down payment will go toward your total cost but not returned if you drop off team)

Place: Olony, Northern Uganda

Needed: Medical professionals as well as interested people from all walks of life

Purpose: CHE (Community Health Evangelism)
